It was shot using a cheap and probably now defunct mini dv camcorder. During the making of this film I was heavily influenced by surrealism, especially 'Tetsuo: The Iron Man' from Shinya Tsukamoto and not to mention the wonderful works of Jan Svankmajer. The film was a big part of my life and was a huge stepping stone for me in the world of filmmaking, which is why I feel the need to upload it in its entirety for the first time. I still regard this film as my biggest learning experience from a single project, it was made entirely by myself and cost me absolutely nothing. There were tons of set backs when making the film, including the obvious problems of shooting and starring in your own film! I also lost contact with one of the actors and had to chase him down to finish his scenes (which took nearly 5 months!). The whole thing was edited on software that cost about £30, I didn't have access to the wonders of After Effects, Final Cut or any Adobe software so I had to create any FX practically during the shoot. It was the ultimate DIY experience for me as I didn't want to sit around dreaming about the films I wanted to make but instead find a way to make it happen! I had just started college and I didn't have many resources but I managed to rope in those around me (including my mom!) to either star in the film or hold a light for me in the murky depths of my garage.
